Our annual recital will be held May 18-19th at Paw Paw High School. Our goal is to accommodate as many families that have multiple dancers to be in the same recital. However, we cannot guarantee all families will be in the same recital.
If you have a dancer who takes more than 1 dance class, we cannot guarantee their classes will be in the same recital. Recital tickets will be available to order April 1, 2012.
Please remember that your tuition must be paid in full by May 1, 2012 to participate in the recital.

REHEARSAL FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2010
PAW PAW PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
(located behind Paw Paw High School)
We want your rehearsal night to be a fun experience for you and your dancer. Arriving on time and being prepared will help you stay organized. Please review the following rehearsal night polices.
1. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled rehearsal time. Your dancer must be in full costume, hair, tights
and shoes per their costume assembly sheet. PLEASE NO MAKE UP ON THIS DAY!
2. Please have your dancer sit with their class in the auditorium. The DZ staff will call up dances in order of show line up. Once they rehearse their dance on stage they may leave if they do not have any other dances to rehearse. Please note we will not wait or hold a dance if a dancer has not shown up to rehearsal.
3. T-shirt and Ticket orders can be picked up in the lobby from 4-8 pm.
4. VIDEO TAPING and FLASH PHOTOS ARE ALLOWED ONLY ON REHEARSAL NIGHT FOR YOUR DANCER’S CLASS ONLY.
NO VIDEO TAPING or FLASH PHOTOS WILL BE ALLOWED ON SATURDAY. 5. DVD’s of the entire recital are available to purchase from Absolute Video. Discounts are offered if you order a copy from more than one recital.
6. Water is the only thing allowed in the auditorium. NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE AUDITORIUM.
PLEASE RESPECT THE AUDITORIUM POLICES.
7. No smoking is allowed on school property.
RECITAL SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2010

Things to know about recital:
1. Dancers need to arrive 1 full hour before recital time. Allow extra time for parking etc.
2. Drop off point: look for DZ car on side of High School, enter through doors follow arrows to cafeteria.
3. Parents can help little ones change into their costume and use the potty before checking them in with the parent volunteer. Please make sure their hair and make up / tights are done upon arrival.
4. Please send a water bottle / healthy snacks such as pretzels, animal crackers with your dancer.
(no juice or pop will be allowed backstage or in the cafeteria)
5. Exit building and go to the back of the high school and enter into lobby of auditorium. Doors will open
approximately 45 minutes prior to show time.
6. Flower orders can be picked up in lobby. Co-Motion will be selling extra flowers and novelty items.
7. All seats are general admission. Reserved seating is limited to special requests only.
8. Please remember to turn off cell phones. NO Flash photography or video taping is allowed on Saturday during
the performance. The auditorium director will stop recital and kindly remind our guests about our policy.
9. For the safety of our dancers, we kindly ask that only 1 parent comes back to pick up their dancer in the
cafeteria following the recital. Make sure to check your dancer out with the parent volunteer and thank them for volunteering. We could not do this show without our parent volunteers!
10. All items must be removed from auditorium for the following recital. NO saving of seats for the following recital.

Welcome to the Dance Zone! We pride ourselves on giving your child a quality dance education through personal attention from our well-trained staff. We offer classes for ages 1 through adult in various styles and levels, including Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Modern. Students may take classes recreationally or audition for our award winning competition team, Co-Motion. We work hard to make sure you and your child are happy at our studio. We always keep our parents up to date through our monthly DZ Newzletter. Our staff is committed to continued education in dance in order to benefit your child. Many of them hold college degrees in dance, and/or are certified through Dance Educators of America.
